Sanxenxo, considered the Tourist Capital of Rías Baixas, is one of the most popular destinations of the Galician Coast. At the end of summer, they celebrate their patron saint festivals, which open with the celebration of San Ginés on the 24th August and close on the 5th September with the Festival in honour of Santa Rosalía. Over these days, the town fills with events, parades, concerts with its music band, the night-time procession, the maritime procession, street parties,… and its big firework show by the sea that fills this beautiful town of Pontevedra with tourists and the inquisitive.
The fireworks in Sanxenxo are capable of enchanting both adults and children, it is the beautiful fleeting performance which is impossible to miss each year. But if you don’t want to miss out either, you should book in advance and enjoy the cascade of lights that will light up the sky of Sanxenxo at midnight.
