While the city of Olívica dazzles with the most impressive Christmas lighting in Europe, this boat trip will allow you to enjoy this visual spectacle from the sea. An unforgettable experience designed for Christmas lovers, which can be enjoyed by both locals and visitors to the city at its most special time of the year.

This year, O Barco do Nadal de Vigo is illuminated with more than 65,000 micro LED lights, loaded with lights, music and many more surprises that will get you into the city’s Christmas spirit. During the stay, you'll enjoy a trip along the Vigo estuary in our Mar Vigo boat, which is transformed into O Barco do Nadal de Vigo. The boat features decorations specially designed for the occasion, including a Royal Mailbox, lights, garlands, trees, music... The most spectacular Christmas decoration that will be on the sea to offer visitors an exclusive and unique view of the city’s famous Christmas lights. A completely immersive Christmas experience that has already been enjoyed by more than 6,500 people in the last edition!

What is the route of O Barco do Nadal?

The O Barco do Nadal route will take you along the Vigo estuary, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the city and its impressive Christmas lights.

As the boat moves forward, you’ll be able to see the most iconic Christmas sights in Vigo from the sea, such as the dazzling tree in Praza Porta do Sol and the lights that adorn the main streets of the city. The impressive Ferris wheel stands out above all these landmarks, and the journey is completed by passing under the Rande Bridge.

This tour lasts around an hour and a half, during which you’ll have time to write your wish letter and drop it into the Royal Letter Box onboard. You can also dance and take a souvenir photo with the character accompanying you on your journey: Father Christmas, the Royal Page, or The Grinch. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a wish under the Rande Bridge or take a selfie with the city’s Christmas lights from the boat.

The main embarkation and disembarkation point is Vigo Maritime Station, a central and easily accessible location. You can reach it comfortably by public transport or on foot from the city’s main tourist areas. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding.

Tickets are available at our Christmas stand at the Cíes Market (Mon-Sun, 18:00 to 22:00), at the Mar de Ons ticket office located at Rúa Cánovas del Castillo 26 (Mon-Sun, 18:00 to 22:00), or at the Ría de Vigo Maritime Station - Rúa Cánovas del Castillo 3 (Mon-Sun, 08:00 to 22:00).
